The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help in identifying an individual involved in the breaking and entering of three Kaycee businesses and burglarizing two of them.
“We had a series of burglaries (Oct. 23),” Sheriff Steve Kozisek said. “The gas station was burglarized, and after several days, we found out that two other businesses had been entered also, but they had not discovered it until days later.”
At this time, law enforcement can confirm that the suspect entered three businesses, including the Kaycee Exxon gas station, known as the Outpost, the Red Wall Community Center and the Powder River Conservation District office.
Two of the establishments were burglarized. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken from the Outpost and the Powder River Conservation District.
“We have some video coverage of the individual, and I would encourage people to look on the Kaycee Town Hall website and look at that video,” Kozisek said.
Kozisek said the suspect is a white male. The sheriff’s office has received some leads that deputies are investigating.
