Justyn Hall, 14, of Buffalo, succumbed to injuries sustained during a cliff diving accident at Tie Hack Reservoir near Buffalo on Saturday.

The accident took place during a dive off of a set of cliffs on the southeast side of the reservoir, Johnson County Sheriff’s office said.

Hall was preparing to enter his freshman year at Buffalo High School.

Johnson County Sheriff Rod Odenbach requests that respect is given to the privacy of the family as they grieve.   

Johnson County School District #1 counselors and community counselors will be made available to students and friends from 3 – 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5 on the train side of Buffalo City Park. Counselors will also be available from 4 – 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6 in the Trailside building at Summit Church with music, food and opportunities to share stories and memories.  

A viewing is scheduled for 1 -9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7 at Harness Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Summit Church.
