Senior workouts move to the train park, avoiding construction

Attendees of the senior workout used pool noodles for their Friday morning workout on Aug. 8. The senior center has moved its three-day-a-week workout to the train park so that it is more accessible to attendees because of construction near the senior center.

As construction continues on Fetterman St., the senior center has temporarily relocated its workout classes to the west side of the train park. The classes are held Monday, Wednesday and Friday in the mornings at 9:30am and welcome community members to join together for a social workout hour.

Christian said that touch is really important and that is why they include the massages when they can. “We all need touch,” Christian said. Charlie was excited about the extra attention, responding with an “oh yeah” and a “wahoo.”
