Kenneth Gary Penwell

Aug. 20, 1928 – April 11, 2020

Kenneth Gary Penwell, 91, formerly of Buffalo, peacefully passed into the loving arms of his savior April 11 while at the Powell Valley Care Center.

He was born Aug. 20, 1928 in Bozeman, Montana. Ken served in the Air Force for three years after which he married his beautiful bride, Barbara Ann Spieth on May 22, 1951 in Bozeman, and with whom he is now united with once again.

Ken moved his family to Buffalo in 1968 and managed microwave stations and became the manager of cable TV for the north-central and northeast region of Wyoming where he remained until retiring to Tucson, Arizona with Barb. Ken was very active in his community through his membership and involvement with the Rotary Club, Masonic Lodge, Shriners and St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. Ken loved music and was always found singing, whistling or humming a tune. He shared his gift of singing in both the Barbershop Quartet and St. Luke’s choir and now enjoys membership in a Heavenly choir.

Ken is survived by his children: Steven (Betsy) Penwell, Cody; Curt (Carla) Penwell, Clarendon, Pennsylvania; Dawn (Michael) Flynn, Helena, Montana; Virginia (Chet) Quinn, Noblesville, Indiana; as well as seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
