Roger Duane Hauck
June 13, 1964 – April 24, 2020
Roger Duane Hauck, of Buffalo, Wyoming, passed away suddenly in Mesa, Arizona, on April 24, 2020, at the age of 55. Roger was born on June 13, 1964, in Richardton, North Dakota, to Ronald Duane Hauck and Janet Yvonne (Hagen) Hauck.
After graduating from Richardton High School in 1982, Roger immediately started working for Richard Verplancke of Verplancke Drilling Co. in Williston, North Dakota. He would later move with the company to Buffalo. From 1988 to 1991, he briefly lived in Washington state, where he worked for All Seasons Construction. He then returned to Wyoming and worked for Richard Verplancke for over 35 years of his lifetime. He enjoyed drilling water wells and did so in both Sheridan and Johnson counties, creating connections with his customers and being very proud of his work. Roger retired in 2019 and spent the winter in Mesa, Arizona.
While in Washington, he met his wife, Shann Grigsby. They married in October of 1993 after settling in Buffalo. They have two children, Heidi Hauck born in August of 1996 and Randy Hauck born in March of 1998. They divorced in February of 2003. Roger did not remarry and was very proud of being a single father and providing for his two children.
Roger is survived by his daughter and son, Heidi Hauck and Randy Hauck; his sisters, Sheri Aman (Mark) and Debra Hermanson (Robbie); his sister-in-law, Heidi Hauck; and six nieces and nephews and six great-nieces and -nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Janet and Ronald, and his younger brother, Darin Hauck.
Roger enjoyed fishing, driving his Jeep in the mountains, boating, riding his Honda Goldwing, silhouette and target shooting, pheasant hunting on the family farm in North Dakota, talking with friends and family, western movies and dogs.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
