Molly A. Sanders, 91, passed away on Feb. 8, in Greeley, Colorado. She was born to Arley and Miriam (Skiles) Taylor in Johnson County on Nov. 13, 1927. She grew up on the family ranch near Sussex with her parents and two younger brothers, Thomas and Robert.
She was working in the Kaycee post office when she met her future husband, Chester Sanders, of Elgin, Oklahoma. They were married on Aug. 5, 1949 and, after living for a few years in Oklahoma, moved back to Johnson County where Molly lived until 2014 when she moved to Greeley to be near her daughter.
Molly worked for a number of years as the town librarian in Kaycee but eventually joined Chester full-time as a custodian of the Kaycee schools. She and Chester continued working in the schools until retirement when they moved to Buffalo. Chester passed away in 2001.
Molly, along with Chester, raised two children, John and Jane. She was the grandmother of two grandchildren, Brian and Amanda.
Services will be in Buffalo at a later date.
