Ella Jean Boyle, 90, of Carlsbad, California, formerly of Buffalo, passed away on Feb. 26 at Carlsbad By The Sea skilled nursing facility. Born in 1928 and raised on the Williams Ranch on French Creek, Jean completed school in Buffalo until attending and graduating from Colorado Women’s College in Denver. She then moved to Kansas City, Missouri, to begin her career as an X-ray technician. She met and married William D. “Bill” Boyle on Nov. 29, 1951. Bill was stationed with the United States Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton during the Korean conflict. Jean’s life adventure continued when Bill was transferred to Southern California in 1968. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, John Williams (1975) and Florence (1977), and younger brother Jack. She is survived by her three children; Mike Boyle of Helena, Montana, Barbara Ruiterman of Vista, California, and Ken Boyle of San Pedro, California; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
