Jacqueline Cash Arstein, former Johnson County resident, died Aug. 14, 2019 at her home in Paramount Park, Eagle, Idaho, at the age of 85. Jackie was born in Buffalo and was raised on the Cash family ranch west of Kaycee. She boarded in Buffalo while attending Johnson County High School where she made many lifetime friends. After graduating in 1951, she earned an associate of arts degree from Colorado Women’s College in 1953. She married Elmer Arstein in 1954 and they made their family home in Pocatello, Idaho, where she taught school and continued her education, earning a master’s degree in elementary education and later, becoming a nationally certified school psychologist. In 1995, she and Elmer moved to Boise, Idaho to be closer to family. Shortly after the death of her husband in 2009, Jackie moved to Paramount Park.

Jackie is survived by four children: Cindy Arstein-Kerslake (Gary) of Gold River, California, Jana Villemez (Chris) of Little Rock, Arkansas, Sonya Greene (Greg) of Eagle, and Mark Arstein (Debbie) of Boise; 10 grandchildren; and two sisters, Sue Myers of Buffalo and Ginger Curuchet of Kaycee. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Lois Cash of Kaycee, a brother Jim, and an infant son Eric.
