Dear Editor,

The music of birds, frogs and insects has returned to the greenbelt wetland mitigation ponds once again! The early spring and late fall water filling of these numerous wetland ponds along the walking path has really restored the vibrancy of these important wetlands. Many thanks to Phil Gonzales and the wetland restoration volunteers and Les Hook and the City of Buffalo for working together to get these ponds repaired and functioning again. Natural habitat for wildlife and plants dependent on these wetlands provide a great asset to our town for locals and tourists walking the path and enjoying the greenbelt.
