Dear Editor:

This is a letter in hopes of retrieving a gift that was given to my husband almost 35 years ago. The item was taken from my home in Cheyenne by Alex Renie and taken to Thermopolis and subsequently taken to Buffalo when he and Ina Renie moved there approximately 19 years ago, I think..

This gift was a wooden eagle that was given to my husband when he received the rank of Colonel in the US Army. He spent 32 years in the Military.

I guess I thought I would always get it back after the death of Ina Renie, but I understand there was a sale that took place in Buffalo. I was not aware of this and therefore I'm looking for that eagle. If anyone knows the whereabouts of a wooden eagle that might have been sold at this sale, please contact me at wilms@cox.net. My husband is 85 years young and often talks about that eagle. Would love for him to have it back to enjoy for the rest of his life. Thank you.
