Dear Editor and city of Buffalo,

My wife and I were recently in your town while on vacation. We just happened to stop in Buffalo to find a room and rest for the night. After stopping at the visitor center for some travel info, we were directed to the Occcidental Hotel where we were treated with kindness and friendliness and as a result we stayed for the night. We enjoyed the evening at the Occidental Saloon with music and a delicious meal and met other guests staying at the Occidental who became friends. We found that the owners of Lolly’s Sugar Shack were also from Alabama as we are, and again became friends. The next day we stepped across the street to take part in the Day of Prayer and made more friends as we prayed for the town of Buffalo, the state of Wyoming, as well as the United States. We decided to stay another night and made more firends up and down the street of shops, including the Treasure Chest where we met Cece Walthers who like others was so kind and friendly.

We have never met so many friendly folks that love their town and are proud to be a part of their community. We really enjoyed your town and our stay at the Occidental with Jackie and David Stewart. We hope you keep the Day of Prayer and hope you always remain a friendly and gracious town. If we ever make it back your way, you can rest assured we’ll stay in Buffalo. You were all definitely a highlight to our vacation.

Thank you,

Richard and Beverly Miller
