Dear Editor:

Two huge thumbs up to Buffalo and the Longmire Days festival. My friend Koty and her 81-year-old deaf mother, and I, drove here from Rapid City. We loved it! You Buffalonians are very friendly, and you ran the festival beautifully. Kudos too for the actors who were happy to be here, although at personal hardship. We will definitely come back. For me, I hadn’t been to Buffalo in 33 years. From October 1985 to November 1986 our rock bands (Roulette, later named Squeeze Play) performed every month at the bar in the Crossroads Inn (owned by my boss). Our family friends Ray Schroeder (from New Jersey) and Mel Gerhold (from Nebraska) lived here, too. Buffalo, you are wonderful!
