Officials with the Johnson County Incident Management Team said Thursday that only two parents/caregivers spectators will be permitted per player for basketball games and wrestling matches.

The decision comes after discussions between the  Johnson County Incident Management Team and JCSD #1 stakeholders. Parents/caregivers will be expected to follow strict masking and social distancing protocol. Parents will not be admitted without a face covering. There will be no fans from the opposing school districts.

In a written statement, the Incident Management Team explained the decision. "We realize this may cause an inconvenience to some, but the goal is to have our schools open to in person learning, and this move will prove invaluable in preventing further spread of COVID-19."
