Members of theClear Creek Middle School Bandits track and field team had a busy week last week, with two meets.

On April 18, the Bandits battled the weather along with their competitors in Sheridan.

“This was the first opportunity the Bandit team had to have all of their sixth grade team members present for competition, and what a baptism into track and field these newcomers to the sport experienced,” coach Mike Scarlett.

Scarlett said the weather, which he described as “‘sprinter’ a combination of spring and winter.” “Early on in the meet, the athletes battled ice cold rain soaking them to the core. The Bandits battled well against the Sheridan team that was 230 members strong.”
